My Sensible Diet - Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat diet do you recommend - high/low Carb, high/low Protein etc? A. My Sensible Diet can be used with any type of diet and exercise program. It simply assists in recording your progress within the nutritional program that you use. The developers of My Sensible Diet are not qualified nutritionists and although they may have a personal preference, would certainly not offer any advice advocating any particular nutritional program over any other. Do you have a database for European/Australasian/Asian foods that is compatible with My Sensible Diet? A. Currently the only external database that has been imported into My Sensible Diet is the US Dept Agriculture food and beveridge database. Where there is suitable demand and access to other publicly available food databases, importation of these into My Sensible Diet will be considered on a case by case basis I am a vegetarian or have other dietary requirements where I do not need many of the foods in the USDA database. Is there a vegetarian version of the database? A. Create a new untitled file as per normal. The USDA database will open by default. Select a food category that you do not want. Choose Edit->Select All. Press the delete key and save the file. Because one copy of the USDA database is shared on the one computer, all subsequent files that you create will automatically have these foods deleted as well. I accidentally deleted some foods from a built database and I want them back. How do I rectify this? A. There is one copy of the in-built databases stored on any one Macintosh Computer. When it is missing My Sensible Diet automatically installs a new copy. Quit My Sensible Diet, move the existing database to the trash, then open up your file in My Sensible Diet and the in-built database will be re-installed. The database location is at /Library/Application Support/My Sensible Diet/Database Name (for the USDA database, Database Name is "USDA Foods").
